It started with a small dilemma

You spot a pretty pin, but it's hard to know if it's the right one. A half-up, a full updo or just pinning back your bangs each call for a different size and shape. Even the same claw clip works differently on thick hair and fine hair, or on a bob and long hair.

Those details are scattered across product descriptions and customer reviews. ChicMong offers a large range of hair accessories, centered on hairpins, so we built this curator to show you the pins that fit the hairstyle you have in mind first — before you browse product by product.

How to start

• Find by hairstyle — choose a hairstyle (bangs & sides, half-up, full updo, ponytail accent or headband) and your hair length to see your picks right away. Tap «Add hair volume & texture» to answer two more questions and we'll take those into account too. If you choose a headband, you'll see picks without the length, volume and texture questions.
• Find by occasion — choose where you'll wear it: everyday, a big meeting, a weekend outing, a party or wedding, travel, or working out and at home. We'll show picks for the hairstyles that suit that moment. You can also add your hair length.
• Find by type — use this when you already know the type you want, like claw clips or comb pins. This path isn't AI-picked: it filters by product facts such as type, size and ornament.

We show 3 pins at a time; tap «Show me others» to see up to 9. If fewer pins fit, we show only those instead of filling the gap. On the results screen you can also choose a vibe — polished, elegant, bright, relaxed or statement — to narrow it down once more.

How the picks are prepared

• AI pre-selected the pins for each hairstyle and set of answers, based on ChicMong's product details, photos and customer reviews. When you finish choosing, we show the prepared picks instantly.
• The suggested uses and cautions from each product's description are taken into account. How a pin feels and holds can still vary with your hair volume, texture and how you style it.
• Customer reviews are from customers who bought that same product, shown as written with only obvious typos fixed. Reviews marked KR are translated from our customers in Korea. Reviews describe the product; they aren't proof that a pick will suit you.
• AI-generated styling photos are never used as a reason for a pick.

Tips for better picks

• Think of the hairstyle you're about to do, not your usual one. The right pin for pinning back your bangs isn't the same as the one for a full updo.
• Not sure about your hair volume? Choose «Not sure» — you'll still get picks.
• Add pins you like to «My list». It's saved on this device only, and you can copy it to keep it handy.
• Some products come in several sizes or colors. Check the size and details of the exact option you'll buy on chicmong.com.

No. There's no sign-up, no log-in and no cost. Orders on chicmong.com follow its own checkout.

Do I upload a photo or type anything?

No. You just tap the options on screen. It doesn't analyze your face or a photo of your hair.

Is an AI choosing for me in real time?

No. We show picks that were prepared in advance. There's no live chat with an AI while you use it.

Does it compare products from other shops?

No. Picks come only from ChicMong's own collection.

Will a recommended pin definitely work for my hair?

The curator narrows down the pins worth looking at first for the answers you chose. Hold and comfort still depend on your hair volume, texture and styling, so please check the size and details of the option you buy.

Why can't I choose «Full updo» with a short bob?

A full updo is hard to secure at bob length, so we've switched it off for those lengths (advice from ChicMong's founder). Try «Half-up» instead.

Are some photos AI-generated?

Yes. Some styling photos that show how a pin looks when worn are AI-generated, and they're labeled on screen. They're never used as a reason for a pick.

What does the KR mark on a review mean?

It means the review was written by one of our customers in Korea and translated into English.

Where do I buy?
